Lincoln Memorial University's Equine Veterinary Education Program (EVEP) is an innovative, immersive educational experience for first-time college freshmen who have extensive horse experience and aspire to be equine veterinarians.  Its fundamental goal is to graduate practice-ready equine veterinarians with unusual appeal within the equine veterinary job market and with equine clients. Graduates will contribute substantially to the health and wellbeing of the horse, the equine veterinary profession, the horse industry, their clients, and their communities as they realize the joys of a career working with horses and those who care for them.
The EVEP fits with the overall mission of Lincoln Memorial University: to enrich the lives of people and communities in the Appalachian region and around the globe. Admitted students will receive instruction from world-class educators, horsewomen, and horsemen. Upon graduation from the Richard A. Gillespie College of Veterinary Medicine, students will be prepared to serve industry professionals and rural horse owners with exceptional veterinary care.
The EVEP is a guaranteed professional admission program. Accepted students who meet the academic benchmarks and complete the VMCAS application are guaranteed a spot at Lincoln Memorial University's Richard A. Gillespie College of Veterinary Medicine.
