Curriculum
The Equine Veterinary Education Program curriculum is innovative by design. The EVEP is a 2.5 year undergraduate program for first-time college freshmen, and accepted students will earn an Associate of Science (AS) in Equine Veterinary Science.
The Equine Veterinary Education Program curriculum is innovative by design. The EVEP is a 2.5 year undergraduate program for first-time college freshmen, and accepted students will earn an Associate of Science (AS) in Equine Veterinary Science.
Between Spring and Fall semesters, they will spend their summers in distributed Summer Immersive Experiences (SIEs) at leading ranches, horse farms, and veterinary practices around the United States, and potentially beyond. Those students who meet LMU's Richard A. Gillespie College of Veterinary Medicine admission requirements will then matriculate into LMU-CVM.

Academic Benchmarks
In order to complete the program and progress to veterinary school, students enrolled in the program must meet the following requirements during their undergraduate coursework at LMU:
● Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA ≥ 3.35 throughout all semesters
● Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA ≥ 3.35 in all science, math, and major courses
● Complete the CASPer exam
● Complete 400+ hours in equine veterinary experience or research
● Submit essays as required by the EVEP or LMU-CVM
● Complete the Veterinary Medical College Application System (VMCAS) application for the admissions cycle that applies to the student's desired start date in the veterinary program.
